Lodge Mashu is located in a prime location - just two minutes walk away from the slopes of the Ishiuchi Maruyama ski resort. Our friendly staff welcome guests to our comfortable lodge and provide all we can to make your stay relaxing and satisfying.

All guest rooms are all Japanese style and all are comfortable and heated.  We have two 10 tatami mat rooms, two 8 tatami mat rooms, four 6 tatami mat rooms and two 5 tatami mat rooms.

Our meals are all delicious home-made style cooking. We use the local Shiozawa koshihikari rice and other local ingredients.  Evening meal is basically Japanese style, but the menu varies from day to day and we often offer Western and Chinese-style meals.  Breakfast is also Japanese-style but if you wish to request an Western-style breakfast please let us know in advance.

We have an 8-vehicle free underground car park that our guests can use (and also offer 50% off other pay car parks in the area).  Guests can use the car park, as well as dropping off luggage both before check-in and after check-out.  Guests can also use our baths after check-out.

LOCATION:
Lodge Mashu is located right near the slopes of the Kanko entrance of Ishiuchi Maruyama ski resort.

If you are coming by car, get off at the Shiozawa Ishiuchi IC and turn right towards Route 17 at the exit.  When you reach Route 17, turn left towards Yuzawa and the ski resort.  At the 3rd set of traffic lights where you will see a large "Kankou Entrance" sign, turn right (look for the Harimaya supermarket on the right).  Turn right there towards the ski resort.   Go straight ahead until you reach a t-junction where you should turn right and you will soon see Lodge Mashu on the left hand side.

By train, both the Joetsu Shinkansen (bullet) train and local Joetsu link stop at Echigo Yuzawa station.  We can pick you up from the East Exit of Echigo Yuzawa station (by the fish center) if you let us know in advance.  Otherwise there are taxis waiting at the entrance which you can take.  The journey from the station takes about 10 minutes.
